The Startup Incubator Berlin – the startup centre of HWR Berlin – opens its media studios. Right in the middle of Berlin, at the CIC.
At the SIB Media Lab we produce live streams, video, podcasts and photography – professionally equipped, with hands-on support. As a partner of CIC Berlin, we sit where startups, academia and industry meet.
Berlin School of Economics and Law

Startup Incubator Berlin – the Entrepreneurship Center
Startup Incubator Berlin (SIB) is the entrepreneurship center of HWR Berlin. We support founders from the first idea to market – with scholarships, coaching, mentoring, co-working spaces and labs. The SIB Media Lab is part of this offering: professional media production for startups in the SIB ecosystem and for HWR Berlin projects.

The SIB Media Lab is for people who want to show something – an idea, a result, a format. Here's who the equipment and the rooms are made for.
Startups & founders
If you want to take a product or an idea out into the world, you need material that convinces. The lab is where pitch videos for investors, product clips for your website, team portraits and footage for demo days and social channels come to life. You don't need to hire a production company – the equipment is in the building, and the team helps you set it up.
Research & teaching at the HWR
For HWR Berlin lecturers and researchers, the lab is a place where knowledge takes shape: recorded lectures, explainer videos, interviews with guests, documentation of projects. Multi-track audio and multi-camera setups make even longer conversations and panels cleanly usable – for teaching archives, conference contributions or public outreach.
Events & live formats
Talks, demo days, award ceremonies, hybrid events: with vision mixing and streaming technology, an event can run on site and reach an audience on screen at the same time. Several cameras, on-screen graphics and clean sound – so the moment doesn't just happen in the room, it stays.
Teaching formats & your own productions
Tutorials, online courses, podcast series, reportage: if you want to build a format across several episodes, the rooms and the recurring setup are made for exactly that. The team helps you find a routine so you can keep producing on your own.
